• Before fans knew of Whirlwind's name, she was nicknamed as the 'Wind Dragon'.
• Whirlwind's early promotional title was called 'Tempest Dragon'.
• Whirlwind is the fourth female playable character in the Spyro series (the first being Sheila, the second being Cynder, and the third being Stealth Elf.)
  • She is also the second female playable dragon with different abilities than Spyro (the first being Cynder).
