Sunrise Spring is the first homeworld in Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

Level Study

This world boasts amazing scenery, hundreds of gems, and a beautiful morning sky for miles around. There is also a fly powerup, which can also help achieve a Swim in the air glitch. Sunrise Spring has many varying realms, and in turn, many varying inhabitants. It is in this world that we first meet Sheila, who has been locked up by the The Sorceress. We also meet Moneybags, who is guarding Sheila and is happy to release her for, say, a small fee.

Eggs

Egg by the stream (Isabelle)

Upon starting the game, there will be a ledge to the left side of the view with an egg on it. Normally, this will be the first egg of the game.

Learn gliding (Coltrane)

Hunter has found an egg, but will first teach you how to glide. First, press to jump, then again to glide over towards the portal to Cloud Spires. Talk to Hunter again, then glide over towards a cave. This time, you need to hover. Once you reach the end of the glide, press to hover. If you make it, Hunter will give you the egg.

If you talk to him again, he'll mention that he was about to jump down a hole, but does not because he hears running water, and does not want to get wet. It's a cat thing...

Fly through the cave (Ami)

If you jump down the hole, you see Zoe, who will explaing about the Superfly Powerup. This one will allow you to fly for a short time, so use it to reach the end of the cave to get to a ledge with an egg.

Bottom of the lake (Bruce)

Hunter will mention that there is an egg in the bottom of the lake. Unlike in the preveous game, you don't need to pay Moneybags to learn how to swim, so just hop in the water and dive by pressing . Swim around, and you'll soon find the egg.

Head bash the rock (Liam)

Near the portal to Molten Crater, you'll notice a giant rock. You don't have to pay Moneybags to learn headbash again, so just jump and press to do a headbash. The egg is inside the rock, much like how an Orb was inside a rock in Winter Tundra back at Avalar.

The Balloon

In Sunrise Spring, there are five main realms, each with a character who is happy to help with the Hot Air Balloon, which takes Spyro to Buzz's Dungeon and Midday Gardens. They are:

Trivia

Even though Fluffy and Stanley are the characters that go through the portal in their worlds, they are not present. Instead, Cumulus and Snappy are present in their place.
- Also, should you talk to Snappy before all five allies appear, he'll mention that he was the one kidnapped by the octopus, when he was really trying to deal with a rhynoc fortress with Sheila the Kangaroo.
