Steam is the locomotive driven by the Conductor in Muntions Forge. It acts as his means of transport, a carrier of mining material and metal and a weapon for the Conductor to use. It has been called maniacal by Exhumer. The Steam also has a Caboose but it was discarded by the Conductor during the train chase.
Story
The Conductor is first seen when the Conductor has a conversation with his workers about the crystal draining Terrador's Earth powers. When he finishes talking he and his workers quickly leave on Steam and its Caboose. Spyro and Sparx try to go after him but other apes close the gate. After defeating the apes and opening the gate, Spyro takes a mine cart and chases after the Conductor. The ape workers try to throw dynamite but it doesn't stop Spyro. Eventually Spyro did catch up with the Conductor, but the Conductor had ejected the Caboose and stopped Steam altogther. Spyro has no choice but to go ahead. The Conductor quickly rushes up behind Spyro and bashes him forward. the dragon quickly speed along the rails. Spyro turns at a dead end and , the Conductor knowing this, branches off the other way.
When Spyro gets to the center of Boyzitbig, the Conductor appears again on Steam and fights against the dragon. Steam is restricted to a small track in the center of the arena. Spyro figures out Steam's fighting pattern and defeats the train. It malfuctions and blows up as the Conductor runs away. The cage holding Terrador then blows up freeing the dragon.
Trivia
- The Ravage Rider has a similar pattern to fighting as Steam because the developers recycled the AI instructions for Steam to the Ravage Rider.
