Spirit Gems

Spirit Gems are Items in The legend of Spyro series.

There are four types of gems in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning and The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night and when compared to the gems in the old series, there purpose and properties are much different. Red gems restore any lost health. Green gems restore Spyro's energy meter, allowing him to use more breaths and energy projectiles. Blue gems fill the spirit pool on the Level Up screen, allowing you to upgrade Spyro's breaths and projectile attacks. And purple gems fill Spyro's Fury meter, which, once full, allows him to unleash a devastating attack that only boss enemies have even the slightest chance of surviving. The function of yellow gems which are absent in The Legend of Spyro is unknown.
