Skelos Badlands is a Realm found in Autumn Plains, located through the portal in front of the pool. The realm is split into three distinct areas: the starting area, the ending area, and the village area. The starting area connects to both, with a two-way path through a lava-filled cave made of dinosaur bones, and a one-way path down from the Catbat plateau accessed from the end of the realm. The village area hosts what is widely considered to be the hardest orb challenge of Avalar.

Three Orbs of Avalar's 64 can be earned in Skelos Badlands in addition to its talisman, with two obtainable by saving the Caveman village from Lava Lizards, and the final one a prize for saving Ooga's friend's bones from Lava Toads. Skelos Badlands later reappeared in Spyro: Shadow Legacy.

• Skelos Badlands is one of only six worlds to have a "?" Jar. The other five are Zephyr, Shady Oasis, Robotica Farms, Bamboo Terrace and Charmed Ridge.
