Story

Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage

In Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, Hunter originally has his doubts about Spyro. Concerned it would be a bad idea, he begins to teach Spyro various moves, mostly down to gliding. He continues to help Spyro throughout the game, and develops a close friendship with the dragon by the end of the game, changing his opinions on all dragons. He also moves in to the Dragon Realms by the next game.

In the Epilogue, he is shown Scuba Diving in Aquaria Towers, with the page saying his diving carrier got cut a bit short. (It's presummed a shark attacked him, since a black shark is also shown).

Spyro: Year of the Dragon

In Spyro: Year of the Dragon he is seen throughout the game in skateboarding and helping him out. Despite having no wings he's usually seen trying to teach Spyro how to glide. His pet Mantaray is often lent to Spyro in order to complete tasks.

Hunter also appears in the speedways, where flying sheep saucers always try to attack him or the world's residents. In all four of the challenges, Hunter will be a playable character, trying to ether destroy the saucers (and sometimes, Space Cows), trying to chase them, or outrun them.

After Spyro helped three worlds out in Evening Lake, Hunter found a red button in the grass. Interested in the button, he pressed it, only to fall into an underground trap (which, according to Bianca earier, was a trap set by the Sorceress for Spyro). Bianca, feeling remorse for his imprisonment, snuck into the lair and gave Hunter an apple, and told him about why she had to kidnap the eggs. However, once she learned of the Soceress's plot to kill all the Baby Dragons for a spell to become immortal, Bianca quickly ran back to Hunter and released him.

After the first defeat of the Sorceress, Hunter has disappeared again, and made some of Spyro's new friends promess to to tell Spyro where he went; however, Sheila accidently exposed the secret when asked. It's revealed that Hunter and Bianca have fallen in love, and they were in the Fireworks Factory (with Sgt. Byrd using the fireworks to put on a show), where they share a kiss, much to the distaste of Spyro.

In the Epilogue, Hunter is shown to be a babysitter for some of the baby dragons, and finds it much harder than it sounds.

Spyro: A Hero's Tail

During Spyro's adventures in the Forgotten Worlds and at the time of Red's attack on the Dragon Realms, Hunter came into his own by helping Spyro with tasks he could not perform by himself such as flying, jumping, and shooting things from a distance using his trusty bow and arrow. His personality also changed with this game.

Spyro: Shadow Legacy

In Spyro: Shadow Legacy Hunter can be seen at the start of the game leaving Dragon Shores. Later, his whole family (Which has never even been mentioned until now) is introduced, as well as his apparent Homeworld, Savannah (Although in previous games, he seemed to follow Spyro and live with him).

Hunter's Birthday

Hunter announces his birthday in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage to be "22475". If taken into account that the developers meant the The Dragon Realm's times and dates were parallel to North America, as well as taking place in the 20th century, this would make Hunter's birthday the 22nd of April 1975, making Hunter 36 years old (though he was 24 when the game was released in 1999).
