Grendor is a Rhynoc librarian and the main antagonist of Spyro: Season of Ice.

History

Grendor's original form.

Grendor stole the Sorceress's Spell Book from Bianca and used it to cast a spell that would increase his intelligence. Unfortunately, the spell backfired and caused him to gain both an extra head and a massive headache. In an attempt to reverse the effects of the awry spell, Grendor began to prepare a potion that required the wings of 100 Fairies. To achieve these ends, he invaded the Fairy Worlds, froze all of the Fairies, including Zoe, in ice, and deployed Rhynocs to gather them.

His plan would never come to fruition, as Spyro managed to free 99 of those Fairies and was able to confront him in his lair. After being defeated, Grendor confessed that he didn't want to be a smart and powerful wizard anymore, and that more than anything, he just wanted to get rid of his headache and extra head. The now-freed Zoe cast a simple spell and Grendor returned to his normal pink Rhynoc self. Overjoyed, he promised to never use magic again and extended Spyro an invitation to check out his library's travel books.

Before the first battle
Well Spyro, we meet at last. Did you think I froze all those fairies as a game? Did you think I wouldn't notice that you have been messing up my plans? All I need is the wings of 100 Fairies and my potion is complete. In case you hadn't noticed, I have TWO heads! And I don't want TWO heads! I want ONE really smart head! And those fairies are the key to all my plans. So, after I'm done with you, I'm getting all those Fairies back, and getting rid of this HEAD-ACHE!

You thought you'd gotten rid of me, didn't you. Sorry, Dragon. No such luck. And this time, I'm using ice as my weapon on you. So get ready to freeze!

After the final battle
All right. I don't even want to be a smart and powerful wizard anymore. I'd be happy just to get rid of this extra head and this headache. You might as well take this last Fairy back. She's not going to do me any good anyway. Maybe I'll ask the Pandas how to meditate. That might help my headache.

After being returned to normal
My head's gone! And my headache's gone, too! Oh thank you Zoe! I promise to never play with magic again. I don't know why I wanted to try it. I really like working in the library. If you ever want to check out any more travel books, just come see me.
