Gloomy Glacier is an underground cave in the Icy Wilderness homeworld in Spyro: A Hero's Tail. It is only accessible by Hunter.
Bentley can be found here, where he requests Hunter's help in clearing out the rival Yetis. A Sparx challenge can also be found here.
Overview
The Gloomy Glacier is a subterranean chain of caverns which is home to the local Yetis, including an old friend of Spyro, Bentley. The caverns contains various platforms, boulders, snowballs and skeletons of large creatures that once inhabited the area. The glacier is an extremely hostile environment as the main inhabitants are Yetis, Bats and Skeletons. Many of the platforms are unstable, covered in ice or rotates, making it very disorientating to navigate through. Nimble feet and agile skills are required to survive this place.
New Features
Frozen Gems
This level is the only one to have it's gems frozen inside blocks of ice. These may be melted with the help of Hunter's fire arrows.
Broken Gas Pipes
Some gas pipes may emit a harmful gas if broken. Although some gas pipes may emit water which can aid Spyro to reach higher levels once he has acquired Ice breath.
Unstable Platforms
Some platforms are unstable and will drop after someone stands on them for a long period of time. Some of these platforms may reappear after a certain amount of time.
