Overview
Frosbite Village is a warm welcoming village located in the Icy Wilderness. The Village is constantly covered in snow, as are all the places in this realm. Many blocks of ice and snowmen decorate the place. All bodys of water have frozen in this village, from fountains to ponds. The frozen ponds are often used as skating rinks for the local residents. Many large snowballs may fall down from great height, squashing anyone in its path, making it very risky to walk through some paths.
Eskimoles are native to this realm and attack in the same way as the natives back on Coastal Remains. They generally live in igloos together to keep warm and will attack any outsider that they may see. Yetis are also native to this realm, but they seem only to cause trouble as seen by the Yeti's who attack Bentley's house in the Gloomy Glacier.
Due to the freezing temperatures, any furless being is required to wear a warm coat or suffer the bitter weather. This is why all of the Gnorcs in this village are wearing thick fur coats under their armour. Of course, the cold doesn't affect Spyro as his internal flame may keep him warm from the harsh weather.
The village is also the main location for Red's Chamber. His chamber is located to the right of the teleportation machine and can only be entered once Spyro has destroyed a total of 30 Dark Gems.
This is also the place where Spyro confronts the Mammoth and gets captured due his overconfidence and pride.
New Features
Icy Surfaces
Icy surfaces make it tricky for Spyro to get around. Icy surfaces inhibit Spyro's walking speed and his ability to double jump. Chargining is also useless on these surfaces and will get Spyro nowhere. The only way to navigate on the surfaces is to run.
Stalactites
Stalactites falling from the ceiling of some caves vary in size. There are small stalactites that can harm Spyro and then there are much larger ones that can serve as platforms for Spyro. The larger stalactites fall at regular intervals and will sink after staying afloat for a while.
Icy water
Spyro may be able to withstand the cold weather but he cannot survive the subzero water temperatures. If Spyro falls into any water within this realm, him will instantly freeze to death regardless of his current health. These cold bodies of water can only be entered if Spyro is using the Invincibility Gadget.
