Flame is a small red dragon who made his first appearance in Spyro: A Hero's Tail, and appears again in Spyro: Shadow Legacy. He appears to be a friend of Spyro's, and has confidence in him.
Flame makes his debut in A Hero's Tail, where he is trapped just outside of Gnasty's Cave. Once enough Dark Gems have been found, the vines will disappear and Flame will be freed.

Spyro, you've done it... the forcefield has disappeared! I thought I was going to be trapped in here forever. This way leads to Gnasty's Lair. Now go and ram his gnarly butt!
Flame appears in as a resident of the Dragon Village along with Ember, and needs to be rescued again.

- Flame may be unlocked as a playable skin for Spyro in Spyro: A Hero's Tail.
