Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!
Dragon Shores is the bonus realm in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. It is unlocked by collecting all of the gems and orbs in Avalar.
It is the realm that Spyro was attempting to travel to at the beginning of the game, and is a popular place for the dragons to go on a vacation.
Story
Spyro eventually makes it here after beating Ripto to have a little fun. After 10 games which you get tokens for, the theater opens and you can watch the cinematic from the game. A Rollercoaster, Love Boat and Duck shooting gallery are some of the games available. At the front of this colourful world are two dragon statues, as well as a small pool of water (You cannot dive under however). The Gnorcs in this park are friendly, and even refer to Spyro by his name at times. There are no enemies in this bright realm to harm Spyro, and the realm is the bonus world of the game.
Also in Dragon Shores, when the game is 100% completed and all 10 tokens acquired, you can find the permanent Super Fireball gate, giving you Superflame to play around with, maybe even catching up with some of the Skill Points. It is also possible to view the cinematics of the game.
Games
- Shoot em Down (3 Tokens)
- Tunnel of Love (1 Token)
- Shoot the Enemy (3 Tokens)
- Rollercoaster (3 Tokens)
Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs
Dragon Shores is the main hub of Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs. It connects all of the other worlds in the game together, except for Rhynocs n' Clocks and Chateau Ripto, both of which are accessed via the Professor's Secret Lab.
Rather than being the theme park previously seen at the end of Ripto's Rage, Dragon Shores now resembles a tropical island with lush grass, large flowers, and giant palm trees. There is also a snowy area to the north that can be reached by boat which houses the portals to the Yeti Serengeti and the Byrd Barracks. Using Quick Escape leads Spyro to the Fairy Shrine, where Tammy the Fairy will remind him to be quiet.

Spyro: Shadow Legacy
In Spyro: Shadow Legacy, Spyro starts off in this world, though it is once again different from the previous versions, and now has a more 'town' feeling to it. The area has a small shore at the front, and a large fountain not seen in previous versions. Huts and other houses can also be found in the level, and it no longer represents a theme park in any way.
Story
As a vacation comes to a close, Spyro's friends prepare to return home on Skipper's ship. After Bianca takes one last look at the sea, she heads off to the ship, where she joins up with Hunter and Blink. After a final joke about school, and magic, as well as Bianca's time with the Sorceress, the trio say their goodbyes to Spyro as they return to their homes.
Artigan tries to cheer up Spyro, who is sad to see his friends leave for a whole year. Spyro then proceeds to sleep on the beach, when suddenly, dark clouds gathered over the realms. A dark lightning bolt nearly hits Spyro, waking him up. Soon, a wave of dark magic pushed everyone into the Shadow Realm.
Spyro found himself confronted by some mysterious fiends, and soon Elder Tomas speaks with him using telepathy. Turns out none of Spyro's skills can harm the creatures. Tomas tells Spyro to run for the portal outside the Dragon Village. It will take him to the Dojo.
