This article is about the character. For the boss level in Spyro 2: Season of Flame, see Crush (realm).

Crush is one of Ripto's henchmen. He is a big blue dimwitted Riptoc or dinosaur like creature who carries a large club with a spike on it. He is isn't very smart at all shown in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage when he didn't know how to go through a portal or when he whacked Ripto instead of Zoe.

Appearance

He has small wings on his back but are a bit to small to lift him of the ground to allow him to fly. He has horns and stubby tail and one of his teeth are sticking out of his mouth making it visible. He appeared in a few Spyro (series) games.

Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage

Crush's first appearance was in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer where he was transported to Avalar with Ripto and Gulp, he didn't talk at all and just made roaring noises. He was the first boss in the game for the homeworld Summer Forest, Spyro jumped down a hole into the dungeons to face him, there Crush stepped on platforms that shot out electricity waves and fireballs, he also chased Spyro a few times. But at the end he ended up being crushed by falling rocks, but he seemed to survive because in the epilogue of the game he is shown with the professor trying to "pursue higher learning".

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly

The second game he appeared in was Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. In this game he seemed smarter and could talk, he showed up at the beginning with Ripto and Gulp when they went to see Spyro. He also appeared again in another cutscene where he tells Ripto all the dragonflies are scattered all over the realms then Ripto blasts them.

Spyro: Season of Flame

Crush's sprite in Season of Flame.

In Spyro: Season of Flame, he again could talk in this one and was the first boss level. He seemed to have the ability to breathe ice in this game and could jump pretty high. He seems to be more intelligent in this game, and not happy with how long Ripto is taking with the gems.

Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy

The last game he appeared in was Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy or Spyro Fusion which was a Gameboy Advance game where Spyro and Crash Bandicoot team up to stop Doctor Neo Cortex and Ripto. Crush was the second boss battle and was fighting along side Gulp, he ran back and forth trying to run into Spyro, he had a shield equipped with him as well, and again he was defeated by Spyro.
