Bosses are a type level in the Spyro Series. Instead of just reaching the end or getting objects, the main objective is to defeat the boss in order to clear. Many Bosses appear through out the Spyro series.

Original Series
Spyro The Dragon
- Toasty- A grim reaper like figure with a pumpkin for a head who has a secret, he is guarded by Dogs and a quick flame a few times is a good way to defeat him.
- Dr. Shemp- A vain, proud, bossy beast who likes to wear metal, flaming him from behind a few times is the way to go.
- Blowhard- A wind sorcerer who attacks with lightning, can be defeated by a quick flame a few times.
- Metalhead- A giant robot who shoots electric bolts and throws enemies, he can defeated by destroying all his electric generators.
- Jacques- A mean, cowardly jack-in-a-box who can be defeated by being flamed a few times, but be careful NOT to fall in the pit below.
- Gnasty Gnorc- The green, high self-esteem antagonist in Spyro the Dragon, you must chase him down and destroy him with your flame, but watch out for his beam.
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage
- Crush- A blue, upright, dinosaur who holds a large, wooden, club. Watch out for the switches he jumps on, if he jumps on the red switch he will release powerful fireball which must be dodged, if he jumps on the blue switch, he will release a wide shockwave which must be jumped. Flame him while he is in between the switches and watch out when he chases you that he doesn't flatten you. When the rocks fall down, he will loose health, but if the rocks fall on you, YOU will loose health
- Gulp- A green, four legged, dinosaur who carries two cannons which shoot dangerous beam-balls. He may also try and flatten you. Use the items that hatch from shells that birds drop such as barrels and bombs to defeat him, however, if gulp eats these weapons, he will use them against you.
- Ripto- The short, orange dinosaur who is the antagonist in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, his first version which is just himself can be defeated by collecting 3 orbs to access special abilities (Red Orbs- Super Flame, Blue orbs- Super charge, Green orbs- Earth Balls), however, Ripto can also use these orbs against you in a similar manner. Ripto's Second version is riding Mecha Gulp, a metal-robotic version of Gulp. The same manner as normal Ripto can be used to defeat him but beware, Mecha gulp can also harvest the orbs but this time he has greater abilities than Ripto. The Third version of Ripto rides a magic fire bird created by a gold orb, Spyro uses a gold orb too and acquired an unlimited super fly-flame powerup. Flame the bird as many times as you can but make sure the bird doesn't flame you, watch out for the lava below which the bird just created.
Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon
- Buzz- A wussy giant green toad that tries to roll into you and can make fire rings around him. Sheila is here and will help you. Charge into him until he falls into the lava then Sheila will stomp on him. Repeat. Watch out when he rolls into you.
- Spike- A bigfoot like beast which attacks with a ray gun, Sgt. Byrd helps you here using his rockets to make ammo fall from the sky. Use molten rocks and Special crystals to destroy him.
- Scorch- A bat-like creature which can lay eggs full of other enemies. Bentley will help you to retrieve ammo which are poisonous bullet-rockets. when Scorch doesn't have his fire shield up, use these weapons to destroy him.
- The Sorceress- The Main Antagonist in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, she will use various magic spells to destroy you. Agent 9 Will shoot weapons down from the air, use these weapons to destroy the sorceress but watch out, she has a few tricks up her sleeve.
Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly
Even though Crush, Gulp And Ripto all appeared in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Ripto Was The Only Boss.
