Bartholomew is Bentley's little brother. He first appears in Spyro: Year of the Dragon and reappears in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly.
In Spyro: Year of the Dragon
In Year of the Dragon, Bartholomew helps Bentley within the levels Bentley's Outpost, Bamboo Terrace and Frozen Altars. Bartholomew appears to be a rather confident, if not arrogant character and has a tendency to jump to conclusions (accusing the Yeti, formally introduced in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, of stealing his ball when he had in fact not done so). Despite his obvious flaws, it is clear that Bartholomew thinks fondly of his big brother and, as a result, is very faithful to him and his cause.
Frozen Altars
Bartholomew appears in Frozen Altars, having wrongly accused the Colossus Yeti from Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! of stealing his ball. He urges Bentley to teach the other Yeti a lesson and make him return the ball. He gives Bentley the eggs of both Aly and Ricco after the Yeti has been defeated.
First meeting
That dumb yeti took my ball! I told him to give it back or you'd kick his lousy butt, but he wouldn't listen.
If Bentley agrees to fight
I knew you'd do it. Go and show him not to mess with us. Remember to block his high punches and hit him low when he tries to block.
When Bentley wins the first match
Heh heh heh... you really showed him... hey, wait a minute, this isn't my ball!
After Aly's egg hatches
You should go back and kick his butt again. Make him give me my ball back.
If Bentley agrees to fight again
This time, it will be a 3 round match. And when you win, don't let him send you off with a stupid egg!
At the start of the second round
Only two more rounds to go. You can do it!
At the start of the third round
This is the last round. Finish him off!
When Bentley wins the second match
Hey!!! This isn't my ball, it's just another stupid egg!
In Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly
In Enter the Dragonfly, Bartholomew appears in the Monkey Monastery in the Dragon Realms. Here, he asks Spyro to free the yetis trapped in ice by the Riptocs, explaining that not all yetis are monsters.
