Infomation
Avalar is a peaceful world, and is presumally the most peaceful world Spyro has ever visited. With the exeptions of Zephyr and Breeze Harbor, due to their ongoing war, all the worlds are in peace, and normally spend their time gossiping, working, or playing practical jokes on each other. Elora is the unoffical leader of the Avalari, and she rarly leaves the world.
When Ripto was brought into the world accidently by Hunter, he took over the homeworlds. Some of the worlds soon had problems, but it's unknown if the trouble was Ripto's doing or simpally their own silly behaviors. It's known that Ripto send some Lizard Riptocs to attack Glimmer, but he is known to not be the reason behind the problem in Mystic Marsh.
Homeworlds
Avalar, like the Dragon Kingdom of Spyro the Dragon, is divided into separate hub areas from which Spyro can access the actual worlds of Avalar. Unlike the previous game, however, there are only three.
Summer Forest
Summer Forest, the first Homeworld Spyro can access, is, as can be expected, a warm, friendly, summery forest. Its centerpiece is a large castle, which Ripto promptly overtakes, surrounded by a moat. It is here that Spyro gains the ability to swim underwater after paying Moneybags a small fee. In this area, players are also able to get a feel for Spyro's abilities through various actions Hunter has Spyro do. After Spyro has gathered the six talismans present in Summer Forest's worlds, he must face one of Ripto's minions, Crush.
Worlds
Autumn Plains
Continuing the seasonal theme, Autumn Plains is the second of the three Homeworlds Spyro can visit. Like Summer Forest before it, its centerpiece is a large, castle-like structure, though this one, unlike those in the other two homeworlds, is very vast, with lengthy corridors and many secret passages.
As in Summer Forest, after Spyro has gathered all of the remaining talismans, he must face Ripto's other minion, Gulp.

Winter Tundra
Unlike the other two Homeworlds, none of the worlds accessible from Winter Tundra has a talisman to give. Instead, all have orbs, required for access to the final fight with Ripto himself, as rewards for completing tasks within the level, including reaching its end. Though it is the coldest of the three Homeworlds, the fight with Ripto is only going to heat up...
